MARTA GRADUATES 22 OFFICERS FROM POLICE ACADEMY
The Metropolitan Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Police Department recently had 22 officers graduate from the Fulton County Public Safety Training Center.
Among the graduates are 14 officers selected after a recruiting trip to Puerto Rico. This marks the first time under Chief Wanda Dunham’s administration that an all-MARTA class graduated from the police academy.
MPD’s Citizens Police Academy (CPA) and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) programs also celebrated a new class of graduates.
The CPA/CERT programs teach citizens disaster preparedness, basic emergency response, fire safety, and light search and rescue techniques.
MARTA welcomes its newest officers to the police force and extends a congratulations to all the graduates.
